Membership Levels

There are 3 basic types of membership level in YVMS, as outlined in the Bylaws:

• Individual/Family Membership
  • This membership type allows for 2 adults and all children under the age of 18 living in the same household. Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult member at YVMS events. Annual membership dues are $20/household.
• Student Membership
  • This is a discounted rate for adult students. Proof of student status is required to receive the discounted rate. This may include up to two adults and all children under the age of 18 living in the same household, as in the Individual/Family Membership level. Note that the Student Membership level does not have an option for automatic recurring renewal, as verification of student status must be done annually. Annual membership dues are $10/student.
• Lifetime Membership
  • Lifetime membership is a special category that can only be given by a vote of the Board.

Term of membership and termination

New memberships paid for after October 1st of the year cover the remainder of the current year, as well as the following calendar year. “New memberships” does not include memberships which have lapsed due to non-payment of dues.

Those memberships not renewed by February 15th of the year will be suspended and may be dropped from the list of members by YVMS.
