My fondest memory of Dick LaFramboise is when he called me one day to personally thank me for taking on the role of YVMS President. It came during a moment that I was feeling unsure about taking on the position, as I did not quite see myself as a leader, yet. Remembering his call of encouragement led me to make the decision of fulfilling a second term back in 2020. -- Veronica MacDougall, YVMS President | RIP Dick! I will miss our phone conversations and mushroom hunting and camping we did with you & Marty. Bob & I took him some morel mushrooms this Spring and with him having cancer he told us he was now ready to die a happy man, eating morels for the last time. Bob and I always enjoyed mushroom hunting and camping with Dick and his wife Marty. He was the first to volunteer to clean mushrooms and not expect any mushrooms in return! -- Mary and Bob Camarata | Quick to smile and with a warm personality, Dick was always a pleasure to be around. |
