“Wild Fall Mushrooms of the Central Cascades”

Join us on September 16th 2024 for our membership meeting!

Helen Lau is a botanist for the USDA Forest Service on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. She holds an M.S. in Mycological Ecology from Central Washington University and is a member of the Pacific Northwest Key Council. She has shared her regional knowledge of mycology with YVMS in the past, covering topics ranging from general identification, toxics and look-a-likes, to collection ethics and rare fungi.

Come learn about the Fall mushrooms you can expect to encounter in our area.

Free to current members and $5.00 for guests. We encourage you to register ahead of time. Room at the event is limited. Member check-in and guest tickets may be available at the door if seats are available.

Doors open at 6:30

Presentation will start at 7:00 PM.
