Skip Payne has made a bit of a reputation for himself in the Mushroom Hunting Community as that “lone wolf guy who disappears into the woods for a few hours and comes out with monster hauls of mushrooms." 

  This specific presentation is aimed toward the novice mushroom hunter. Skip will share helpful tips that will hopefully aide you in becoming a successful mushroom forager yourself. Skip will give us a deep-dive into some of his special techniques he uses In and Out of the field - all circled around his Three Core Principles.

  Join Skip on this journey of growth and exploration as he takes you on a visual adventure out of the classroom and into the backwoods of the Pacific Northwest.

  Skip’s passion for fungus evolved into “Skip’s Shroom Seasonings” in which he has a created a line of popular spices made with his foraged mushrooms and home-grown garlic, along with other secret ingredients. His entire line of all 6 blends will be available for tasting and purchase if so desired! Each are unique and use different species of foraged wild edible mushrooms!

 Free to current members or $5.00 for guests. This meeting is in person only at the Yakima Area Arboretum. 

 Doors open at 6:30 PM. We encourage you to register online ahead of time. Room at the event is limited. Member check-in and guest tickets may be available at the door if seats are available.
