Language and Perception - Improving identification skills with descriptive terminology

Join us on February 21st at 6:30 PM at the Yakima Area Arboretum or via Zoom for our first annual meeting of the year! 

-- FREE to current members that have paid their 2022 dues. 

-- $5 for one day guest pass

Description: An important part of learning to identify mushrooms is learning their unique characteristics. There are a variety of terms used to describe the shape, texture, scent, habitat and other details of a mushroom which could go unnoticed without the words to describe them. Jeremy Collison will present virtually on terminology used for describing mushrooms including lots of beautiful images that will surely change the way you observe mushrooms. 

The safety of our members and guests are our first priority. Please be aware:

-- Seating is limited to maintain social distancing for people outside your household

-- Masks are required

-- If you are not vaccinated or do not feel safe enough to attend in-person, please stay home and enjoy the meeting and program via Zoom. We thank you for your cooperation.

-- We are continuing to monitor the increase of COVID-19 cases locally and may need to make adjustments to the in-person meeting. Please verify safety measures closer to the date of the event.
